Desktop EndNote workshop for Research Postgraduates
This session forms part of the Reading Researcher Development Programme (RRDP) for Research Postgraduates. Book a place to learn the basics of using Desktop EndNote to manage references and add them to Word documents. It will also cover selected more advanced features suitable for researchers.
If possible please bring your own laptop with EndNote installed. See the Obtaining / Buying EndNote section of our EndNote guide for instructions on getting the software free via DTS.
Book your place through Reading's Student Information System (RISIS). The timetable can be viewed in the 'Things to do now' section on RISIS. You can also view a full timetable in the Doctoral and Researcher College site on Blackboard.

This workshop is for those who are new or very inexperienced users of Desktop EndNote. It will cover:
- Creating a library file
- Synchronising with EndNote Online
- Adding references from databases and typing in manually
- Inserting references in Word documents and changing their style
- Attaching PDFs to references
- Setting up term lists for journal names
- Editing referencing styles
